ANTECEDENTES

Presentation
BACKGROUND
Based on different experiences and collaborative work in academic exchanges resulting from the inter-institutional agreement signed within the framework of the Bi-national Congress of the North-South Borders of Performance and the Living Arts, as well as the experience of the First Meeting of Research and Creation in Arts and Humanities and the establishment of the ARSHUMA Network in October 2025, spaces for exchange were fostered with Academic Bodies (CA), Collegiate Groups (GC), and Research Groups (GI), thematic journals, and Research Networks (RI), whose lines of generation and application of knowledge linked to the arts and humanities have yielded profoundly enriching results.
The Second edition of this meeting is being organized with the aim of continuing to consolidate these collaborative processes, strengthening participation between researchers and creators, and disseminating research and artistic production work. Its objective is to continue promoting research and creation, strengthening exchange, collaboration, and networking, while boosting the circulation of ideas, experiences, and new forms of interaction.
In its first edition (2025), the Meeting brought together national and international researchers, creators, and collectives affiliated with the ARSHUMA Network, generating rich and meaningful initiatives and dialogue sessions. This space is establishing itself not only as an exchange forum, but also as a platform to strengthen collaboration among universities, institutions, networks, and groups at both national and international levels. Consequently, the second edition represents an even greater challenge, which entails not only engaging a greater number of teachers, researchers, creators, and cultural managers, but also involving more institutions and including the active participation of students and society as a whole.
THE MEETING
Now, seeking to expand collaborative work, active participation with peer researchers and creators, and the dissemination of creative and research work, this initiative is proposed to organize an annual exchange and collaboration event, aiming to promote research, creation, management, networking, and the dissemination of ideas, experiences, and new forms of interaction stemming from CAs, GCs, GIs, and RIs.
It proposes not only a setting for dialogue and project enrichment, but also aims to generate greater interaction with other universities, institutions, and national or international Networks or Groups.
OBJECTIVES
- To promote cooperation and exchange among CAs, GCs, and GIs at the national and international levels, through linking and the dissemination of their research, lines of generation and application of knowledge, as well as their artistic and cultural creation projects.
- To foster research beyond disciplinary boundaries, encouraging the incorporation of methodologies, techniques, tools, and technologies that drive innovation in the processes of creation, research, and teaching in arts and humanities.
- To integrate a network of specialists that fosters synergy and strengthens the production, outreach, and dissemination of knowledge, both nationally and internationally.
- To promote the formation of collaborative networks aimed at developing research, creation, and innovation projects that address social issues, contributing to relevant and situated social retribution.
