About the network

The ARSHUMA – Network of Researchers and Creators in Arts and Humanities – aims to become a space for convergence and the exchange of knowledge, creation, and research in the arts and humanities. Its main purpose is to coordinate and connect academics, students, artists, associations, collectives, laboratories, and networks across educational institutions, universities, and organizations, both national and international, as well as independent managers and artistic communities, whose practices, creations, efforts, and approaches aim to contribute knowledge, methodologies, processes, and initiatives to society.

Priority is given to interactions and trajectories that bring to the table reflection and analysis regarding the teaching and learning of arts and humanities, the development of new models, aesthetics, cartographies, dimensions, significations, and resignifications, as well as contributing to awareness-raising around memory, imaginaries, heritage, and the importance of public and collective spaces. The intention is for this collective effort to build upon what has already been accomplished and bring us closer to peers and groups focused on the same topics.

Likewise, there is a strong interest in actively encouraging and promoting collective, collaborative work that enhances the trajectories of formally registered Research Groups, Collegiate Groups, Academic Bodies, and thematic networks, as well as fostering mainstreaming at all levels.
